Animal Control

The Animal Control Bureau is responsible for enforcement of all State, County, and Municipal regulations, which pertain to the care, welfare, and protection of all animals.  Animal Control responsible for the enforcement of leash laws and stray animal services.  The Animal Control Bureau is also responsible for keeping our citizen safe from wild and vicious animals.  The specific objectives are as follows:

▪           Attend to sick and injured stray animals

▪           Respond to pick up all dead animals (excluding rodents & fish)

▪           Investigate animal cruelty reports

▪           Investigate all animal bite reports

▪           Distribute citizen requests for animal traps

▪           Participate in animal science programs involving our local schools
