The Monterey Park Police Department is a full service police agency. Our 82 sworn police officers and 50 civilian personnel represent a diverse workforce that is supported by over 150 community volunteers through the Police Reserves, Emergency Communications, Citizen Patrol, Explorer programs, and other civilian volunteers.

We take pride in our ability to prevent crime, interact with the community, and apprehend criminals. Our department personnel strives to provide the finest police service to our community. We view the community as our partner in fighting crime and seek the community's input and assistance through programs such as Neighborhood Watch, Business Watch, Citizen Patrol, and the Citizen's Academy.
