  • When does the City Council meet?

The City Council and Community Redevelopment Agency meet jointly every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers located in City Hall.

  • How do I speak at the City Council meeting?

The City Clerk is available to assist the public attending and wishing to address the City Council at its meetings. Please contact the City Clerk at the beginning of the meeting or before your item of interest is taken up by the council. You will need to fill out a yellow speaker card which is located at the table in the back of the room.

  • Where can I obtain a marriage license or birth certificate?

The L.A. County Registrar Recorder's Office/County Clerk maintains and issues licenses and certificates: www.lavote.net

  • How do I register to vote?

As a Los Angeles County resident you may register to vote:

  • If you are a citizen of the United States.
  • If you will be at least 18 years of age at the time of the next election.
  • At least 15 days before an election to be eligible to vote in that election. 

You may register by completing a registration-by-mail form. Forms are available throughout L.A. County at most County buildings, city halls, fire stations, libraries, State Motor Vehicle Offices, and post offices. You can apply on-line at: www.lavote.net
